Met the dearest woman at lunch today. It was such a rainy day that we decided to grab food at the department store nearby our hotel and she sat next to us. Toshie Akagi, 88 years young, said "hello" and we ended up talking (she in her best English, which was surprisingly good with no accent and I in my best Japanese) for over an hour. We could have spent the entire day with her, an incredibly magnificent being with such a wonderful zest for life!! #kyoto #daimaru #newfriends
