Species Vanished

Michael was chosen to "do" a trout for the Steelhead Festival in May. He was gracious enough to allow me to help him make the trout come to life. We sanded, we painted, we wrote, we smudged and we sealed. The trout floated on State Street for a month and a half. Unfortunately, some "not so clear thinking" person decided to add their own creativity to the trout and punched holes in and split the trout from the dorsal fin to the nose. But, the trout can be fixed! So, it is back to the studio for more collaboration! That's not such a bad thing!!

This past Saturday, we lost two of our dearest compadres, Alan Shapiro and his beloved dog, Sable. Ally and Sable were family to us.

Ally lived life the way we all should... to the fullest! He was opinionated (an understatement by far), was such a kid, had an enormous heart, was always there for his friends... and this man, he had rhythm and soul.

Sable was THE ONLY canine companion that Koko loved to play with. Koko brought out the puppy in Sable and we all loved watching her come into the house and walk around and squeak every one of Koko's many toys.

The Sopranos have ended their run on TV (Michael always said Ally was a Soprano) ... and now Ally has ended his run on our planet. We will all now have to resort to the re-runs in our own heads of the times we spent with him. His time with us was too short. We thank you Ally for showing us all the spirit with which we should live life!! Ally and Sable ~ we love you and will miss you!!! We will always carry you in our hearts.

Honeymoon!

Today, we celebrate our one week anniversary! We just returned from our honeymoon in Northern California ~ wine tasting in Sonoma County, a night in "the city". We enjoyed incredible weather, the most delectable food AND of course, each other ~ we had THE BEST time!! Now, we are home and looking forward to more of the same!!

This is Koko's favorite pastime by far! She absolutely LOVES the beach! One can never throw the stick too many times!!

Our Perfect Day!!

We finally made it official on Saturday ~ 7/7/7!! The sun was shining bright on Summerland Beach...we were surrounded by our wonderful family...it was everything we had ever wanted...PERFECT! Many thanks to everyone ~ especially Rod, Sharon, Rob & Judy for making it all possible!!
