Through the magic of technology, I was able to hear Sammi play her violin as a featured young artist with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra this afternoon ~ thanks to Patty's cell phone!
Sammi, I wish I could have been there! Can't wait to see the video! You were wonderous beyond comparison and I loved being able to hear you "live"!

It was one glorious afternoon for a beach walk!!

Tradition!

Kelly and Dev drove down to visit the Big Bro this weekend. They've been "hanging out" and today, they went to Disneyland. As per tradition, they stopped to take this photo in New Orleans Square. You Boys know how to make your mommy cry ~ for all the best of reasons!! Thanks for the awesome picture!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Art Opening

Yea, Teachers!! Today, Michael and I attended the Channelkeeper Art Show Opening! As usual, many of Michael's students had their art represented and won awards. The teachers were recognized at the opening as well ~ recognition a long-time coming and SO well deserved!! I am SO proud of you, Love!!






After the opening, Michael and I walked over to Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens. We hadn't been there in ages and we took time to smell the flowers... and look at the turtles!

The BEST day!!

Today was one of those wonderful days ~ storybook perfect! Michael and I headed to the harbor with Koko this morning. Koko and I walked while Michael paddled... right up to the gray whale that has been visiting Santa Barbara! Later, special family time with Peter, Sora and the babes. We all watched in amazement as Keoni "bombed down the trails" on his Skuut and Kelly and Dev finally got to meet Kieran! Dinner tonight was at Arigato as we finally celebrated Derek's birthday!

Imagawayaki!

Yesterday, a trip down to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. Michael and I had an incredible time enjoying and stocking up on yummy Japanese treats, including imagawayaki and mochi-gashi. I think he's turning Japanese!
